So it's April 27th and yesterday it was 16 degrees out (I think that's around 60 farenheit). Today it's zero (or 32F) and snowing. It'll be gone by tomorrow, so I'm going to say it's actually kind of nice to see the falling flakies since we've had none since February.
Went to Toronto a few weeks ago for the One of a Kind Spring Show, to see what kind of stuff people were selling and buying, and what my competition would be like SHOULD I ever get in. It was very well-organized and sellers also mentioned how nice and welcoming the staff was. Jewellery is a hard category to get accepted into since there are so many talented jewellery artists out there. Still battling to get my new pieces together. Gotta put together the best application possible.
Jean-François and I both really enjoyed Toronto this visit, I think for the first time. As a Montrealer, I am not supposed to like Toronto (you know, the long-standing rivalry), but we went to some really interesting neighbourhoods that showed us the flip-side to the kind of standard downtown, polished look I tend to think of when I think of the city. I'm looking forward to going back and discovering more.
